Patients
So why should you choose us? There are so many different options out there nowadays and we understand that it can be difficult to make sense of it all!
Why Us?
Apart from the fact that we genuinely care about patient experience as our number one priority, here are several reasons why you will be in safe hands, should you choose VISIO Health:
Your Journey
We care about your journey at VISIO Health. We realise that you may be nervous before, during or after your appointment/treatment, so we take great care in order to make you feel welcome, seen and heard.
You can watch a video of what the typical patient journey may be like, and get a feel for what the clinic is like, below:

1. Initial phone call and email
You will contact us, via phone or email, and speak to one of our friendly and helpful team. They will answer any queries you may have and get you booked in for your first consultation.

2. Consultation appointment
Once you’re booked in, you will receive your appointment letters, via encrypted email. On the day, you can arrive 15 minutes before your appointment, and you will be greeted and made to feel at home. You’ll be offered a free coffee from our team; we have a fancy-pants coffee machine with flat whites, cappuccinos, latte macchiato and many more! Tea and water is also available.
If the consultant thinks you will need a theatre procedure, you may also be digitally consented on this day also.

3. Diagnostic test
Your consultant may request for you to have diagnostic tests done on the same day as your above appointment. If this is the case, one of our technicians will take various scans of your eye to show the consultant. These are painless and quick!

4. Theatre procedure
If a theatre procedure or laser treatment is required, you will be booked in for this by our team. You will again receive your procedure letter with all information, via encrypted email. On the day, you can arrive 45 minutes beforehand, get checked in, with another coffee! You will read and sign terms and conditions in your own time. One of our lovely nurses will then do your pre-operative assessment checks and digitally consent you, if you have not already done so.
You will be gently taken into the theatre, made comfortable and local anaesthesia applied, if applicable. One of our expert consultants will carry out the procedure, which normally will not take more than 30 minutes, depending on the surgery.
You will have plenty of time to sit in our recovery area to unwind with a sandwich and a coffee/tea. One of our nurses will check on your regularly, answer and questions and carry out any post-operative checks.
You are then free to go, with renewed vision!
